I graduated from the Orthodontic Residency Program in San Antonio, Texas in 2008 and am Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.

Clinical orthodontics and teaching are my passion and I have spent the last 15 years doing both.

In addition to treating patients at Southside Orthodontic Center, I maintain a part-time faculty position as Clinical Associate Professor at UT Health San Antonio, where I also served as Program Director of the Orthodontic Residency Program from 2014-2022. During my tenure, I developed and implemented innovative courses for the residents and played a key role in shaping the program into one of the most respected orthodontic training programs in the country. We trained several orthodontists over the years, many of whom practice here in San Antonio.

I am an active lecturer, presenting on a range of orthodontic topics including diagnosis and treatment Planning, extractions in orthodontic treatment, aligner therapy, orthodontics and TMD, practice management, and interdisciplinary orthodontics. I also have a special interest in lingual orthodontics and founded the Center for Excellence in Lingual Orthodontics at UT San Antonio, where residents gain hands-on experience in this specialized field.

Throughout my career, I have contributed to the orthodontic literature, with several publications in leading journals, and I am committed to advancing the field through both teaching and clinical practice.

My practice philosophy centers on providing individualized, high-quality care, delivering creative and effective treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, and maintaining efficiency in patient care delivery.

In addition to my clinical work, I teach part-time at UT Health San Antonio, furthering my commitment to educating the next generation of orthodontists.
